Director of Biomechanics

The University of Memphis and InMotion Musculoskeletal Institute seek an experienced biomechanicist for their shared effort related to musculoskeletal diseases and injury.

Applicants must have an earned Doctorate in a pertinent field and an established record of research and publication in related areas. This tenure-line regular faculty status position will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, dependent on the credentials of the successful applicant, in the Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Herff College of Engineering.

The selected person will also serve as the Director of the Medtronic Biomechanics Laboratory at InMotion. This person will be a key team member of an academic department, who is joined at InMotion by academic clinician researchers and other key hires to work in a city-wide collaboration to define, develop and translate novel, advanced treatments for musculoskeletal diseases and injury.
