Mr. Blair is the Chairman of the InMotion Board of Directors,
and he serves as a board chair and/or executive for a number
of local and national orthopaedics foundations and industry
organizations, including as Chair of the Campbell Foundation.
Recently, Mr. Blair was named as Non-Executive Chairman of
Active Implants Corporation. As well, he serves as a Director
for Pegasus Biologics, Inc., Buckman Laboratories, Inc., and
NuVasive, Inc.
Mr. Blair previously served as Non-Executive Chairman of SCB
Computer Technology, Inc., of Memphis, Tennessee (divested
in 2004), as a member of the board of the National Bank of
Commerce (also of Memphis), as a Trustee for Regions Morgan
Keegan Select Funds of Memphis, Tennessee, and as a Director
for dj Orthopaedics.
He presently consults for Affinergy, Inc. and textile manufacturing
company, Jones Products, Inc.
Mr. Blair has worked in health care for over 30 years. He
joined Richards Medical Company in September 1980 as President
of Richards International. In March 1982, he was named President
of Richards Medical Company, which was acquired by Smith & Nephew,
PLC, in 1986. Mr. Blair was named to the Board of Smith & Nephew,
PLC, in 1989, and he served in an executive position at Smith & Nephew
until his retirement on December 31, 1998.
Mr. Blair received his B.A. degree in political science from
Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and his M.B.A. in finance
from the University of California, Los Angeles.
