Shirley Raines

Jon Serbousek
President, Biomet

Jon Serbousek is the President of Biomet, a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of products for the orthopedic, sports medicine, biologic, craniomaxillofacial and dental markets.

Previously, Mr. Serbousek served as Division President of Biologics, Orthopaedics, Interventional Spine, New Technology Development and Americas and Asia Pacific (AAP) for Medtronic. Previously, he served as Division President in a number of combined capacities including New Technology Development, AAP, Thoracolumbar Division, Emerging Technologies, and Interbody Technology Divisions since 2000.

Before joining Medtronic, Mr. Serbousek served as Vice President of Marketing and Product Development for DePuy Orthopaedics, a Johnson & Johnson company, from 1998 to 2000. During 1987 to 1998, Mr. Serbousek held positions of Vice President, Spinal Operations; Vice President and General Manager, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine; and a series of product development and engineering management positions with DePuy Orthopaedics in Warsaw, Indiana. Mr. Serbousek began his healthcare career with a Japanese venture-financed medical device company.

Mr. Serbousek earned his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Washington State University. He received his Master of Science degree in bioengineering from the University of Utah. He later completed several advanced management programs including a program at the IMD International School of Management in Lausanne, Switzerland.
